Now in its 64th year, the
Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity brings the creative communications industry together for a week in the South of France to learn, network and be inspired.
Between the tech yachts in the harbour, Snapchat’s bright yellow Ferris wheel on the Croisette, the beach parties hosted by Facebook, Spotify and Google, there was a lot of noise in Cannes. Adding to the business and reflecting how this is a time of change for our industry, this year’s Cannes also saw a large influx of consulting and tech companies.
In the following, we look past the noise to present and discuss the most talked-about topics and the very best work that came out of this year’s festival. The award show is still a major part of the event and the Lion is recognised globally as the touchstone for creative excellence in communications. It is the award to win.
